Maison Trenel has always sought authenticity for both its fruit liqueurs and its wines. Authenticity of the fruit, authenticity of the terroir. The purest expression of their origins. Born from a love of its land with its Burgundy traditions, there are numerous similarities between Maison Trenel and M. Chapoutier, their shared love of excellence being the first.

The Coteaux Bourguignons AOP, created in 2011, covers the whole of the Burgundy wine region, extending down as far as the outskirts of Lyon. Trenel's Coteaux Bourguignons comes from vineyard plots in the Villefranche and Bois d'Oingt areas, limestone terroirs in southern Beaujolais. It is produced entirely from Gamay grapes grown on old, Gobelet-trained vines.

Trenel Coteaux Bourguignons 2024, made with carbonic maceration, is a burst of freshness and vitality with every sip.

In 1972, the property itself was purchased by the Famille Jean-François Janoueix, managers and owners of prestigious Saint-Émilion and Pomerol estates since 1898. Janoueix wines have been served to presidents and dignitaries during official state dinners. The reputation of the La Croix-Toulifaut vineyards stretches even further back to the Middle Ages when the religious pilgrims of Saint Jacques gathered in front of the stone cross of La Croix Toulifaut as part of their devotions. The same cross still stands today and serves as a landmark for this vineyard. The very name Toulifaut has its roots in the old Latin French phrase "tot li falt" or "tout y faille" (everyone will give way). History has it that even the most pious person cannot help but be drawn to Pomerol from these vineyards.

ChâteauToulifaut (often listed as Château La Croix Toulifaut) is made from 100% Merlot and carries the winery's long history of craftsmanship and patience. To the credit of the entire region, the wine shows how the history of the area and the winery's commitment can be united in a pure and balanced wine experience from Bordeaux. This wine has been called the "Princess of Pomerol" by Jean-Luc Pouteau, the best sommelier in the world, based on its feminine representation of the appellation's characteristics.

Friends since school, Anthony Aubert & Jean-Charles Mathieu challenged themselves to create a range of wines in their image, by bringing a touch of originality and modernity to their cuvées. Created in 2018, they are part of an eco-conscious approach, more transparent and more sustainable. This commitment is evident from the vine to the bottle with organic cuvées or in conversion.

Carbon neutrality is the brand's primary commitment.
In 2022, 70% of all the cuvées will be certified by an environmental label.
Eco-responsible packaging comprehends recycled and lightweight glass bottles, sustainable caps, labels and boxes.
Sustainable viticulture makes possible to plant hundreds of trees each year works and to safeguard and protect the bees, its environment and the beekeeping heritage of Languedoc.

"Tired of our respective professional lives, we left everything to pursue a slightly crazy dream: to create wines like us, a little unconventional and offbeat" - Anthony Aubert & Jean-Charles Mathieu

Certified Organic Agriculture, Fugue is a vibrant, textured, and energetic wine. Syrah is blended with an unexpected grape variety, Nielluccio, for an original and sincere expression. Vinified with whole bunches and aged in concrete eggs, the wine unfolds a refined palate, free of artifice and rich in personality. An unvarnished approach, where the balance lies between tension and sincerity.

A collection of wines with individual character. The concept of this brand is to actively interact with consumers, communicating in their own way through different characters, taking into account the individuality and preferences of consumers.

In the 17th century, in southwestern France, two grape plants, a red Cabernet Franc and a white Sauvignon Blanc, were accidentally crossed, resulting in the most popular grape variety among wine lovers: Cabernet Sauvignon. The result is a full-bodied wine with a medium level of acidity that goes well with most dishes. Ed will be your wine guide on this trip. He can find Moldova on a map and knows his stuff when it comes to wine, food and fun.
