Juan Cúneo Solari founded Casas del Bosque in 1993, at a time when the Chilean wine industry was pursuing quantity over quality. His commitment to quality is evident in the Gran Reserva Cabernet, a wine which is a great exponent of this characteristic variety of Chile that finds one of its most typical expressions in the Maipo Valley.

Carménère originates from the Bordeaux region of France. However, Chile is currently the main producer of this grape variety worldwide. The grapes come from alluvial loam soils with good drainage towards the Cachapoal river in Almahue, in the commune of Peumo, which has traditionally been recognized for the quality of its Carménère. The variety was harvested during the first fortnight of April, seeking a balance between the herbaceous compounds typical of the variety and its fruity notes.

Lapostolle Le Rosé is inspired on a provençal style, focused on bringing the most elegant and subtle expression of a rosé blend from Apalta vineyards.

Lapostolle Le Rosé comes from our San José Estate located in the Apalta Valley, near the town of Santa Cruz, 170 Kilometers South West from Santiago. The 2022 season was undoubtedly a cooler season, but at the same time it had good conditions to wait for the maturity of the fruit in most of the varieties.

Valle del Rapel is one of the few places where Carménère grows in ideal conditions. It is located in the central part of Chile and it exhibits a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with warm and dry days and pleasantly cool nights during the growing season, as a result of cold breezes coming from the Andes. Rapel has also a cool influence from the Pacificís Humboldt Current, which lowers temperatures in the coastal areas of the valley. This leads to warm days with ample sunlight and dry conditions, allowing a slow ripening period. Carménère is able to fully ripen but maintain all its fresh notes that are so unique to the variety.

This Grand Selection Sauvignon Blanc comes from a very special area in Cachapoal, directly beneath the foothills of the Andes, and enhances the best fruit that Rapel Valley has to offer. The vines grow with the cold influence of the mountains and express all the minerality of the vineyards unique stony soil: Las Kuras means "stones" in the native language.

The season started with a mild winter, mostly dry all through the season. A careful irrigation program was key and keeping a good canopy to protect the grapes in the vineyard, patiently wait for the perfect maturity.
