Situated in the commune of Martillac, this 20-hectares property once belonged to Baron de Montesquieu. Today, the estate is owned by Mr. Eric Perrin which also owns the famous Château Carbonnieux. Because of its special localization, its terroir and the choices of winemaking in the vineyard and the cellar, the Château Haut-Vigneau plays between the greatest ones.

This Haut-Vigneau blanc is quite characteristic of the terroir and the appellation of the AOC Pessac-Léognan.

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 12.5%

APPEARANCE
Shining pale yellow color.

NOSE
The expressive nose is dominated mainly by mango notes in an overall exotic and floral aromatic palette.

PALATE
In the mouth, it reveals more exotic fruits and floral notes, in great balance between structure, minerality, acidity and fruits. A dry white typical and characteristic of the Pessac-Léognan appellation.

PAIRING
Particularly recommended with oysters, white and/or meaty fish and light cheeses.

TECHNICAL DATA
Alcohol 14%

APPEARANCE
The color is sustained and bright red.

NOSE
The nose opens with notes of black fruits (blackcurrant, redcurrant) and red fruits, then develop toasted and smoky notes.

PALATE
The attack is supple, the tannic structure quickly takes over, which gives a wine with present tannins, yet with a very harmonious texture. The general balance is marked by a pleasant volume and a light toasted note on the persistent finish.

AGEING
15 to 18 months in oak barrels (20% new).

PAIRING
It goes well with second courses of red meat, game, roasts and braised meats.
In general it is an excellent combination with structured and tasty preparations.

READINESS FOR DRINKING
To be enjoyed between 2024 and 2040.
