APPEARANCE
Dark ruby red.

NOSE
It expresses an uncommon intensity and depth on the nose, with notes of licorice, cinnamon, camphor and pepper open to clearly fruity, jammy and spiced hints.

PALATE
A Mediterranean hint then opens to a rich, fresh and very long tasting. Well balanced thanks to a tannic texture of rare definition, it closes with a very persistent finish that returns on slightly vanilla notes.

AGEING
The separate lots mature 1 year in French oak barrels of various toast levels, half new and half once-used. The final blend is given additional rest in both large oak ovals and barrels for another 12 months.

PAIRING
Excellent with a fillet of beef with green pepper and especially meat-based pairings.

APPEARANCE
Intense ruby red colour.

NOSE
Aromas of ripe red fruits, spices and balsamic notes.

PALATE
On the palate it is soft and elegant, with smooth tannins and a persistent finish. A wine with great personality, capable of expressing the poetry of the territory.

AGEING
Following maturation for about 16 months in barrels, 35 – 50 hl oak ovals and ceramic amphorae the individual lots of wine are assembled into the final bend, which’s given a further 6 months’ aging in the bottle.

PAIRING
With elaborate first courses, red meats, mature cheeses and truffle-based dishes.
