The story began with Michel Chapoutier, a unique man with a thirst for knowledge, definitely one of a kind. He seeks to discover and reflect the full potential of his terroirs and let the soils express their true character.
This now forms the basis of the M. CHAPOUTIER ethos to reveal the very best of what the soils have to offer.

This domain held a twin appeal for M. CHAPOUTIER: a vineyard already converted to organic in Montfrin in Gard county, and a section in Costières de Nîmes, where the company did not yet own vineyards. The first visit to this beautifully-maintained vineyard was promising, and in 2018, a range of appellations – Côtes-du-Rhône, Côtes-du-Rhône Villages, Costières de Nîmes and Pays d’Oc – have been produced.

The vineyard plots are located in the commune of Montfrin. This wine comes from a soil composed of deep red clay and siliceous pebbles of various sizes brought by the sea some several million years ago.

Alcohol 13%

APPEARANCE
Subtle peach pink color.

NOSE
The solar nose suggests the intensity of the fruit, offers strawberry, peach and licorice, a light pepper, a touch of garrigue, a tinge of pomelo.

PALATE
Ripe from the start, with a soft and silky texture, the wine is dense and ample. With a melted acidity, its fresh feeling is due to the small zesty phenolics. Full-bodied wine, generous but digestible, with spicy accents, licorice, a little pepper. The creamy fruit evokes peach, strawberry prolonged by a few aromatic zests on the long finish.

PAIRING
Serve with roasted langoustines with peaches and mild spices, mashed butternut squash.

Lapostolle Le Rosé is inspired on a provençal style, focused on bringing the most elegant and subtle expression of a rosé blend from Apalta vineyards.

Lapostolle Le Rosé comes from our San José Estate located in the Apalta Valley, near the town of Santa Cruz, 170 Kilometers South West from Santiago. The 2022 season was undoubtedly a cooler season, but at the same time it had good conditions to wait for the maturity of the fruit in most of the varieties.
