The enterprising Esteban Martín family has always had a very close relationship with the countryside and farming. The family business began in 1964 with the creation of the Granja Virgen del Rosario farm. In addition to the farm, the winery and a transport company also form part of Grupo Esteban Martín, the group fully owned by the Esteban Martín family.

In 1985, Miguel Antonio Esteban decided to buy 150 hectares of vineyards in the best lands of the DOP Cariñena, located at the foot of the Iberian Mountains, in the heart of the Ebro Valley. Year after year he was acquiring new parcels and already in 2003 he decided to build his own winery.

Produced with organic practices and suitable for vegans, this wine reflects Bodegas Esteban Martín's dedication to quality and respect for nature.

Finca La Emperatriz is a winery with an extensive vineyard estate in Rioja Alta.
Viñedos Hermanos Hernáiz is the new project of brothers Eduardo and Víctor, who in 1996 acquired Bodega La Emperatriz, named as such because the first owner of these plots was Eugenia de Montijo, wife of Napoleon III and Empress of France. With this new emphasis and with new projects at hand, the winery changed its name but its high-end wines retain the Finca La Emperatriz signature, the name of the ‘viñedo singular’ they come from.

Until the end of 2019, the range of wines under the “Finca La Emperatriz” label included nine wines made with grapes from different vineyards of the same name, and when the grapes from a harvest ran out, the wine was no longer available. These wines have been replaced by this new selection with the Finca La Emperatriz Viñedo Singular Tinto taking the place of the Finca La Emperatriz Crianza and Reserva wines.

From 2019, the D.O.Ca. Rioja established a new geographical indication classification system that seeks to value the terroir as a recognition of the quality it brings to the wine. This means there are three new classifications: Viñedo Singular, Vinos de Municipio and Vinos de Zona.

Finca La Emperatriz Viñedo Singular Tinto is made with clusters from old vines aged between 50 and 65 years old from the Finca La Emperatriz vineyard, which has white boulder soils over a sandy-loam structure. These characteristics are perfect for vine cultivation and add an elegant touch to the wines.

With this new emphasis and with new projects at hand, the winery changed its name but its high-end wines retain the Finca La Emperatriz signature, the name of the ‘viñedo singular’ they come from, which is given to small, old plots with limited but high quality production and which, in summary, must comply with a series of strict standards to prove their quality. The grapes used to make El Jardín de la Emperatriz Tinto come from plots where the soils are mostly composed of white boulders over a sandy-loam structure and where the vines have an average age of 25 years old.
Since January 2020, the range of Classic Blends and Single Plot wines have disappeared, giving way to four new labels: a high-end red and white called “Finca la Emperatriz Gran Vino”, a blend of traditional Rioja varieties from a “viñedo singular”, a pure expression of terroir, like the great chateaux of Bordeaux; and their respective younger brothers also from the same estate, called El Jardín de la Emperatriz.

Andrés Valiente and his son Rodolfo formed Viñedos & Bodegas Vegalfaro in 1999. The name Vegalfaro comes from a combination of the word “vega,” meaning a lowland meadow or stretch of alluvial soil, with the historic name of their winery property, Casa Alfaro.

Bodegas Vegalfaro cultivates 60 hectares (148 acres) of low-yielding vines that fully conform to the strict requirements of Ecological Farming established by the European Union. The winery has never utilized artificial products in its vineyards, so soils are alive with a prolific variety of microfauna. These microscopic organisms are very important for the decomposition of organic material, as well as for the absorption of nutrients through a symbiotic relationship with the vine roots.

Rebel.lia rebels against the rules, but without breaking them, and is free to express itself as it has behaved that year, always faithful to its philosophy of expressing the vintage.

Figuière is a pioneering maker of superior Provence wines and an ambassador of a new generation of top-level winemakers dedicated to their terroir.
Figuière strives to promote the superiority and creativity of the wines of Provence with a novel approach to rosé, designing it just like a "fine wine" in terms of time, craftsmanship and terroir. Figuière wines are the product of an unparalleled union between Provence and Burgundy, the La Londe terroir and the mastery of craft winemakers specialized in great Burgundy whites. The result is mineral and fruity wines that are understated and unexpected, love playing on contrasts and constantly finding groundbreaking combinations with a balanced, authentic and down-to-earth style focused on natural elegance.

Magali is an easy drinking rosé named after the Estate's commercial director, the second Combard daughter in the family. Since the acquisition of Château Barbeiranne in 2019, it is a blend of two very beautiful terroirs: La Londe's schist soils with maritime influence and Pignans' claylimestone soils, in the inland valley of the Var.
