Luma offers handmade wines selected from the best lots of InVina’s extensive vineyards, fermented in small tanks, then aged in barrel for 12 months. Where power meets elegance.

The grapes for this Estate Bottled wine come from Batuco Estate, where cooler temperatures give the wine its blueberry notes, and Las Tizas Estate, where warmer temperature add a jammier profile. Smooth and opulent, full of blueberry flavors over notes of dry leaf, chocolate and white pepper.

Juan Cúneo Solari founded Casas del Bosque in 1993, at a time when the Chilean wine industry was pursuing quantity over quality. His commitment to quality is evident in the Gran Reserva Cabernet, a wine which is a great exponent of this characteristic variety of Chile that finds one of its most typical expressions in the Maipo Valley.

Carménère originates from the Bordeaux region of France. However, Chile is currently the main producer of this grape variety worldwide. The grapes come from alluvial loam soils with good drainage towards the Cachapoal river in Almahue, in the commune of Peumo, which has traditionally been recognized for the quality of its Carménère. The variety was harvested during the first fortnight of April, seeking a balance between the herbaceous compounds typical of the variety and its fruity notes.

Château Kirwan is an estate located in Cantenac, not far from the city of Bordeaux and the river Garonne, in a terroir where man and nature have been living together harmoniously for hundreds of years.
The Château, built in 1751, was one of the few Medoc properties that Thomas Jefferson, the future third President of the United States, visited on his Bordeaux wine tasting trip in France and mentioned in his diaries written in 1780. Mark Kirwan passed away in 1815 and over the centuries it passed from hand to hand through several owners, until, during the early years of the twentieth century, it was acquired by a family of "negociant", the Schyler and Schroder, which moved to Bordeaux in 1738 and still in business today.
With 40 hectares divided into 46 parcels that wind within the territory of the AOC Margaux, it is clear and obvious how the keystone of this Château, over the years, has always been the terroir and its strong identity. Its wines have a characteristic soft, gentle attack, followed by a very Margaux lacework of flavours. Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot provide Kirwan’s main wine with a multi-layered structure that is very big, tempered by the roundness of the Merlot and the delicate elegance of the Cabernet Franc.

The 2019 joins the list of sumptuous vintages ending in the number 9. Throughtout the growing season, the vinse enjoyed smooth, calm conditions. A perfect balance between the amount of foliage and the quantity of grapes was observed in this vintage.

In 2014, Clos Apalta gave birth to its second wine, Le Petit Clos de Clos Apalta, in order to offer a different interpretation of this unique terroir, using the same grapes, but in different proportion, and offering young vines a chance to prove their worth before thay can make it into the Grand Vin.

The 2020 vintage was a challenging one due to climatic disruptions and the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the dry conditions resulted in excellent sanitary conditions for the fruit. The harvest began 10 days earlier than usual and was carried out with sector-by-sector, block-by-block harvesting due to uneven maturity. Quality control and selective harvesting led to reasonable yields of excellent quality. This season has delivered elevated levels of most compounds of the grape must: sugars, tannins, and an unexpectedly impressive acidity. The COVID-19 pandemic added to the challenge. Despite the hurdle, the team's unfaltering commitment resulted in a successful harvest.

“Le Petit Clos is a different interpretation of the Clos Apalta Terroir, using the mastery of blending that is the heart of the winemaking philosophy from the Domaines Bournet ”. – Jacques Begarie, Chief Winemaker.

Clos Apalta is born in 1997 as the iconic wine of the Domaines Bournet-Lapostolle in Chile under the idea to magnify the exceptional terroir of Apalta with French expertise. Shaping the vineyard foot by foot, building a state-of-the-art gravity fed winery, the family succeeded in making Clos Apalta one of the most iconic wines in South America.

This year we had a generous production, healthy, of excellent flavor, with relatively moderate alcohol levels and more freshness. It will be remembered as one of the greatest cold vintages of the 21st century in Chile.

Valle del Rapel is one of the few places where Carménère grows in ideal conditions. It is located in the central part of Chile and it exhibits a semi-arid Mediterranean climate with warm and dry days and pleasantly cool nights during the growing season, as a result of cold breezes coming from the Andes. Rapel has also a cool influence from the Pacificís Humboldt Current, which lowers temperatures in the coastal areas of the valley. This leads to warm days with ample sunlight and dry conditions, allowing a slow ripening period. Carménère is able to fully ripen but maintain all its fresh notes that are so unique to the variety.
